Restuarant Review: Naked Pizza

Monday evening I had the pleasure of joining other bloggers at Naked Pizza in Brighton.  We were invited to hear about the newly opened store, their mission and see how their pizza is made.
Peter and Jeff are the franchises and Tim (on the right) has set up this store and Brookline's.  Tim showed us around the store and his passion was contagious.  He was so knowledgable about the product and was really interesting to listen to.  I enjoyed hearing all about the Naked Pizza experience- from how it started, to how they make their dough, to their fresh ingredients...
Once behind the register, we saw how the pizza dough is prepared.  Naked Pizza dough is shipped domestically; it is not made on site but it is made with amazingly healthful ingredients.
The dough is made with ten grains including oats, brown rice, buckwheat, quinoa, amaranth, teff, spelt, tapioca and two kinds of wheat.  And you could taste the difference in dough.  It also contains probiotics- that healthy bacteria that our bodies need!
The sauce is made with four ingredients, thats it!
Tomatoes, water, fresh basil, and a dried herb packet. I loved the taste and I loved the ratio of sauce to toppings. Speaking of toppings- all their vegetables are cut that day.  None of that in-a-can business. Its all fresh products. The pepperoni is nitrite free, lower in fat, and the color is naturally created with paprika instead of artificial ingredients.
Then it was time to test out the pizzas!  This one was the superbiotic made with regular dough.  I loved the dough and toppings.
This pizza was made with thin crust pizza dough. This was also a nice pizza if you like your crust a little on the thinner side. It was deliciously cheesey- I love cheese : )
I enjoyed about three slices while talking to the other bloggers.
The best part about the evening was hearing the story of Naked Pizza.  Their goal is to make pizza using whole food ingredients that taste better and are better for you.  That's my kind of food.
Oh and another cool feature- Naked Pizza is HUGE into Social Media, so follow them TODAY.
Have you heard of Naked Pizza?
