Product Review & Giveaway!

A few weeks ago Beth over at Jamba Energy emailed me about their new beverage- Jamba All Natural Energy Drink. It is designed for active young adults who desire more energy, but are careful of what they put in their bodies. They sent me a sample of each Jamba Energy fruit flavor including Strawberry Banana, Blueberry Pomegranate and Crisp Apple. In the last week I've tried all three and been in love with each of them.
My husband was out of town last week and he makes the coffee in the morning.  Since making the coffee is "not my job" I drank the energy drinks in place of the coffee and I felt better than I normally do.  The drinks gave me the energy I needed and made me feel ready to start my day. (Yes- Dave and I have assigned tasks- and making coffee is not mine : )

Now let me tell you something you may not know about me.  When I was in college I was addicted to Mountain Dew Energy Drinks, specifically AMP Energy.  I knew they were terrible for me, but being a film student, I had many sleepless nights. You see I had access to my schools video editing lab after hours.  This meant I would wait until the lab closed at 12am and I would work from 12am until the wee hours of the morning.  Not only was this extremely freaky being the only one in the lab but I also NEEDED energy to stay awake and get my work done.  So I relied on those AMP drinks. But I knew they weren't good for me.  When I graduated college and got back on a normal schedule, I stayed away from AMP (even though I still miss it!)
Luckily, I now have Jamba Energy drinks for when I need extra energy. When I tasted Jamba Energy drinks I immediately loved the flavor but even more, I loved the ingredients. The energy drink beverages contain no artificial preservatives, flavors, or colors, 0g of trans fat, and no high fructose corn syrup. Each 8.4 ounce can contains 70% real fruit juice, 80mg of caffeine derived from natural sources, is fat free and 90 calories per serving. According to the product information on the can, the all-natural drinks have 80 mg of caffeine per serving, about the same as a cup of coffee or other energy drink. The cool thing about the product is that they are chemical free and healthier than others in the same category and not only that, they taste pretty damn good.

The drinks are lightly carbonated and come in three flavors: Strawberry banana, crisp apple and blueberry pomegranate. I'm a huge apple fan and liked that one and the blueberry pomegranate the most. The 8.4-ounce serving contains 70-percent real fruit juice and is about 90 calories; priced at around $1.99 per can.

So do you want to try these drinks?
Jamba Energy is giving away 50 free product coupons ($1.99 value) to promote the Northeast launch of the product.

  11. I need more energy because I seem to have developed a bad habit of falling asleep at my desk at work in the afternoons. It doesn't matter how much sleep I get around 3 I find myself nodding off, which isn't a good thing in the office.

  15. For the longest time, I was a Diet Coke addict. It even got to the point where I would get terrible headaches if I didn't drink it. I don't drink it much anymore and I like coffee, but it's never replaced the cold, fizz of soda. This stuff sounds pretty good!

  18. I have always been wary of energy drinks because of all the crap in them, so now I'm super intrigued about these! I love the sound of them, and I think it would be nice to have something to replace (or in addition too, haha) my coffee. I need more energy this week because I moved in between running two races and will be up all night running tomorrow (yikes!)
