NYC Marathon Training: Week 1

Here is Week 1 of my Marathon Training Program-
Date: Monday June 28, 7:30AM 
Route: Charles River Run with Meg
Mileage: 5 miles
Total Time: 43:06
Avg Pace: 8:37
Mile 1: 8:11, Mile 2: 8:49, Mile 3: 8:48, Mile 4: 8:48, Mile 5: 8:28


Date: Tuesday June 29, 7:20AM
Route: Charles River Run alone
Mileage: 5.5
Total Time: 48:16
Avg Pace: ?, Ran without my Garmin!

Date: Thursday July 1, 6PM
Route: Southie- Castle Island Run with Meg
Mileage: 6.70 miles according to mapquest
Total Time: hourish
Avg Pace: 9:30ish
I shut off my Garmin at a stop light at 4.29 miles and never turned it back on
Mile 1: 9:14 Mile 2: 8:28, Mile 3: 9:11, Mile 4: 9:30 then oops never turned it back on!

Date: Saturday July 3, 6:40AM
Route: Run around my town, trails with Nancy
Mileage: 10 miles
Total Time: 1:35:30
Avg Pace: 9:32
Mile 1: 8:47, Mile 2: 9:13, Mile 3: 9:18, Mile 4: 9:18, Mile 5: 9:50 (hitting the trails)
Mile 6: 10:40 (yep, I fell about here and rolled my ankle, but I'm a trooper), Mile 7: 10:47 (stopped and bought water), Mile 8: 9:28, Mile 9: 9:05, Mile 10: 8:54 (wahoo)

Week of 6/28-7/4
Total Mileage: 27.2 miles

Time to get ready for my BBQ!  I've planned a Mediterranean Theme BBQ and lots of friends are coming over to celebrate!
