Cape Cod Wedding Weekend

This weekend we headed to Brewster, MA on Cape Cod for our friends wedding weekend!  It was held at Ocean's Edge in Brewster.
They rehearsed... on Friday night... (my husband was in the wedding...)
And then we ate some yummy food... Corn, Ribs, Brisket, Pasta Salad, and Salad...
After dinner, we headed back to the beach for a bonfire...
 and what's a bonfire without some s'mores... I love s'mores...
YUM! It may not quite be beach season or summer, but its never too early for s'mores...
Hanging with the Mr. & Mrs.  before they become Mr. & Mrs....
Saturday on the Cape was beautiful.  It was mid 60s and sunny and a perfect day for a wedding.  A beach wedding no less!  Michelle looked gorgeous walking through the sand...
...and look at this view- it was gorgeous!
I seriously love Cape Cod.  I really think its one of the best places in the world! The ceremony was pretty quick and they had a lot of personal touches that I loved.  After the ceremony, the girls got together for a picture!
I'm very lucky... I've become so close with all these girls- the wives and fiances of Dave's best friends from high school!!!
The men...
Oh and then the food- the appetizers were delicious!!! But I was too busy socializing... and dinner-
Crab Cakes with Mango Salsa and Chipotle Mayonnaise
Mesculin Salad with Pickled Onions and Oranges
And Surf and Turf- Filet Mignon with Mashies and Stuffed Sole with Zucchini Pasta
I was so full I never had cake! But there was lots of dancing : )
It was a beautiful wedding weekend and I couldn't be happier for Michelle and Ethan.  The venue and weather was beautiful!

Today Dave and I enjoyed hanging out at the beach...
and my favorite South Shore coffee place...
Where else can you get Coffee that tastes like Candy Bars? Mmm... Milkey Way...

What's your favorite beachy spot?

  1. Wow, the Cape's weather looked much better than Boston's this weekend. What a lovely weekend! I love NH beaches where I grew up.

  2. Love Cape Cod too and I agree that it's one of the best places in the world! That blue dress is gorgeous on you - you look so pretty!

  3. I agree, I LOVE the Cape! My dad lived in Ipswich for a little while was he was growing up, so he's always been a New England guy and we've vacationed there a ton as a family. It really does have such a unique feel. Seeing your pictures made me want to go! The wedding looked so beautiful, as did the glad you had a great time!!

  4. What an absolutely GORGEOUS wedding!

  5. OMG what a gorgeous wedding! That looks perfect to me. Looks like you had a great time. When I lived in Boston I used to take the train up to Manchester by the Sea - such a cute town and pretty beach. I miss that!

  6. When I was on the Cape last weekend, I wanted to stay. It's so beautiful! Growing up, we always spent time at the Rhode Island beaches and rented houses there, so I've never spent too much time on the Cape. This summer, I definitely plan to explore that part of New England more.

And what a lovely wedding! Everyone looked fabulous and so happy!

  7. Looks like a beautiful wedding!!!!! Ive never been to Cape Cod but it looks like it would be a great place to spend the summer!

  10. What a beautiful wedding!!!! I would have loved to get married on the beach but it just isn't in the cards in March in NJ. The bride looks so happy ;) My favorite beachy spot is the beach I grew up on in the summers..Long Beach Island

  11. what a beautiful setting! the bride looks so pretty and so do you!

  12. <3 the cape!!! We will definitely need to get together out there this summer. I plan on going pretty much every weekend possible and I'm going to take a week vaca there in August :) So glad that your friends had such a nice day, May can be extremely tricky on the cape!

  13. looks like a beautiful wedding & thank you for making me crave SMORES! i haven't had one in forever!

  14. Thank you for posting this! I grew up a stones throw from Ocean Edge, on a little beach in Brewster, and we're now looking at Ocean Edge for our wedding next June! :)
